Johannes Grützke (b. 1937) Johannes Grützke studied from 1957 till 1964 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin with Prof. Peter Janssen. First solo and group exhibitions followed from 1964 in Germany and abroad. In 1973 he co-founded the " Schule der Neuen Prächtigkeit” (School of the New magnificence). Since 1980, he also designed numerous stage sets, inter alia, for the Stuttgart State Theatre, Freie Volksbühne Berlin, Deutsche Schauspielhaus and the Burgtheater in Vienna.
