Tomec’s architectural views have already sold for up to €8,000 in the auction market Condition: The paint surface is slightly discolored due to age and shows tiny stains. The inspection under UV light reveals a major touch-up to the upper right. Furthermore, the upper left of the sky shows several small areas of retouching. The frame is slightly worn. The size of the painting is 64 x 79.5 cm, and the frame measures 75 x 90 cm. Heinrich Tomec (1863-1928) Born in Prague, Heinrich Tomec trained at the paint shop of the Prague National Theatre from 1879 to 1884. In 1887, he began his studies at the Vienna Academy, where he attended the Special School of Painting under the guidance of Eduard Peithner von Lichtenfels until 1892. In 1896, he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus and of the Hagenbund in 1900-1901. (cko) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
