RODERIC O'CONOR (Ireland/France, 1860-1940) - "Portrait of a Young Woman", oil on canvas, unsigned but with original label verso from "Corcoran Gallery of Art Tenth Exhibition of Contemporary American Oil Paintings, 1926", giving his name (misspellled), title and return address of "31 bis Rue Campagne-Premiere (Montparnasse) Paris." In original hand carved gilt frame, OS: 37" x 31 1/2", SS: 28 1/2" x 23", good condition, needs re-stretching. O'Conor was close friends with many of the Post-Impressionist French painters, Gauguin asked him to accompany him to Tahiti.
