An original framed oil on board painting titled "HELL IN HIS HOLSTERS" presented to the New American Library by listed artist Frank C. McCarthy (American, 1924-2002). This piece was the original cover art for his Signet book titled the same. A framed behind glass copy of this book accompanies the painting. Western painter and illustrator known for depictions of plains Indians in action, Frank McCarthy spent much of his career in New York City and the last years in Arizona.
