A black aerosol stencil on composite stone wall featuring one of Banksy’s iconic rats painting the symbol for anarchy. Executed on the wall of a military graveyard in Berlin-Mitte, circa 2003/2004. Banksy was in Berlin at the time participating in a Backjumps art exhibition and created numerous works throughout the city, many of which have since been destroyed. Instead of being washed off or painted over, the Berlin City Council permitted this particular work to be expertly removed and preserved by a professional art conservator, prompting extensive national and regional media coverage. <span style="font-size: 12px;">48 1/2 by 31 1/4 inches</span>
