Charles Herbert Woodbury (MA/ME, 1864-1940) "The Windmills, Holland," oil on canvas, unsigned, a bright impressionist landscape presented in a gilt wooden frame having a gallery plaque naming the artist and an exhibition label on the back from the Mississippi Art Museum in Jackson. SS 9.5 x 16.5 in.; DOA 16.5 x 23.5 in. Charles H. Woodbury was a prolific Impressionist painter and an active art teacher. His work resides in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Detroit Art Institute and the Metropolitan Museum among others. The 50 year collection of the late Drs.
