Carl Friedrich Werner, Sicilian Coastal Landscape with a view of Ruffo Castle in La Scaletta Signed and dated lower right: C. This wonderfully fresh depiction of La Scaletta in Sicily with the seat of the Ruffo family was painted just a few years after his arrival in Italy, where he stayed for almost 25 years.
