The Christopher Hull Gallery, 670 Fulham Road, London, SW6, Renos Loizou Exhibition, 1983, No.11. Renos Loizou studied at Cambridge School of Art (now part of Anglia Ruskin University). He had a consistent painterly eye and loved colour and the Mediterranean landscape. His first solo exhibition in Cambridge in 1969 so impressed Jim and Helen Ede, the founders of Kettle's Yard, that they purchased three of his paintings for their Loan Collection. Renos Loizou's work was much -collected both in his home town of Cambridge, and further afield in the USA and Mediterranean. Sadly in his later years his original great promise was dogged by ill health, resulting in his too-early death in 2013.
