Béla Iványi Grünwald (1867-1940) Painter and his Muse oil, canvas under national protection Béla IVÁNYI - GRÜNWALD (1867-1940) was one of the most important plein air painter and impressionist in Hungary at the begining of the century. He was member of the famous "Nagybánya School" which was a melting pot of the non-academic artist education. He studied in München, later in Julian Academie in Paris. He founded the artist colony in Kecskemét. At the end of his life he painted mostly landscapes in realistic stile at the lake Balaton.
