Four pieces of Americana, including Wallace Nutting photograph and three 19th C. fruit still lifes: Wallace Nutting (American, 1861-1941, "A Highland Pool", hand-tinted photograph depicting New England pond, titled and signed in pencil LL and LR respectively, minor water damage UR of photograph, possible isolated areas of retouching, gilt loss to frame, matted and framed behind glass, not examined out of frame, ss: 7 3/8" h. x 9 1/4" w.; two oils on canvas board, first of black grapes and pear, ss: 7" h. x 9 1/2" w., second depicting cherries in leaf, ss: 6 7/8" h. x 9 1/2" w., both with minor and isolated flaking and paint loss; along with watercolor on paper, still life of apple, c. 1875, attributed to Harriet "Hattie" Morse March (Litchfield, Conn., 19th C.) dedicated to her sister Virginia Morse Catlin, inscribed in pencil "For Virginia" underneath apple, genealogical inscription to paper backing verso, light toning, chipped glass not visible beneath frame LL, framed behind glass, ss: 5 1/2" h. x 3 5/8" w., none examined out of frames.
