The cut grass was raked and piled up to dry. In the background wooded hills rise. With a palette of mostly yellow and green colors, the artist has created an attractive, rural image. The painting is in very good condition. The frame has only slight traces of age and use. Lower right the image is signed and dated with " Carl Kayser-Eichberg 37". The dimensions are 52 x 68 cm (framed) and 45 x 60 (hardboard). Carl Kayser-Eichberg (1873-1964) The German landscape painter Carl Kayser-Eichberg was born in 1873 in Silesia. From 1893 to 1899 he studied at the Berlin Academy under Eugen Bracht (1842-1921). In the following years, he was honored several times with the Golden Medal.
