H A DYER VENETIAN DOORWAY WATERCOLOR & QUACHE Watercolor on board "Venice" by artist and avid traveler Hezekiah Anthony Dyer (American, 1872-1943). From 1905 to 1914 he served as a charismatic president of Rhode Island's Providence Art Club, mostly staying true to the classical canons of art, with some pieces showing styles of Art Nouveau and Impressionism. Set in two tone, dark wood and blue textile frame with gold accent, cream matting. Signed in lower right, "H. A. Dyer/ Venice." Size: 19 x 23.25"
