Oil on canvas, 24 1/2 x 36 1/4 inches. The reverse inscribed "Warwick Castle/ Glover" and affixed with printed label cut from the 1913 catalog for the Chapman Collection sale. Note: photographs of this painting were examined by Dr. David Hansen, who determined it is the work of a contemporary or follower of John Glover's.Provenance: Collection of Col. Henry T. Chapman, New York (1837-1912); sold at Anderson Art Galleries, New York, Jan. 29, 1913, lot 353; George A. Needham; purchased from his estate by Henry Needham Flynt for Historic Deerfield and hung in the Deerfield Inn, Deerfield, Massachusetts. Sold to Benefit the Museum Collection Fund of Historic Deerfield, Inc.
