Other Notes: After studying music at The Royal College of Music, London, Ian Houston studied painting part time at St Martin's School of Art. Ian Houston was a friend of Edward Seago and was greatly influenced by his work. In 1974, Houston purchased a sea-going barge in order to better study his subject of the sea.
