EUGENE BERMAN WATERCOLOR AND INK WASH (Russia/France/New York/Italy, 1899-1972) titled "Fantasia Napoletana." Image measures 11.75" x 8.75", signed with monogram lower center. Also signed on mount verso "E. Berman," dated "Roma 1958" and titled along with studio stamp verso. Set in original wood frame. Eugene Berman was born in Russia and later moved to Paris where developed a Neo-Romanticist style often depicting solitary figures among architectural ruins. He is also known for his stage set designs for ballets and operas.
