Original pencil drawing on semi-transparent vellum by renowned animator Rick Reinert (American, 1942–2018), from his “Family Trees” collection. The whimsical composition features an elf standing on a tree branch before a fantastical treehouse, richly detailed with windows, vessels, and organic architectural elements. Signed and dated 1996 lower right. Reinert and his production company collaborated with major studios including Hanna-Barbera, Disney, and Chuck Jones, and are best remembered for their contributions to Winnie the Pooh animations as well as the educational series Cap’n O.
