Grabach present to Rothbarts family, owners of the George’s Home and Gift Center in Newark NJ, with arts supply and framing shop on the 2nd floor, where they often had exhibitions for local artists. John R. Grabach (1886 - 1981), the leading American painter of the Great Depression, was a highly regarded New Jersey artist and teacher. Born in Massachusetts, he moved to Newark NJ with his widowed mother, when he was eleven, and at 95 (1981) died in Irvington NJ.
