This is a charcoal on paper on by Emil Filla, a Czech painter whose works melded aspects of Cubism and Fauvism in his still lifes, landscapes, and figurative works. He was strongly influenced by Picasso and Braque, and you can see that in this piece here. It is signed in the lower right. There are a few small stains that are not visible unless inspected closely, and a few small folds in the paper as well. The overall size is 13 1/2 x 17 in. and the sight size is 7 3/4 x 11 3/4 in.
