§ Henry Lamb, MC, RA (British, 1883-1960) Portrait of Myee Miranda Mckenna, 1947 crayon and chalk drawing h:30 w:22 cm Provenance: Collection of the artist's widow, Lady Pansy Lamb New Grafton Gallery, London, where acquired by the present owner (label verso) Other Notes: Myee Miranda McKenna (1935-2019) was the eldest daughter of Mr David and Lady Cecilia McKenna. As well as painting her father (lot 236), Henry Lamb drew their daughter on at least two occasions. The fact that this drawing was kept by the artist, and then, after his death, remained in the possession of his widow, Lady Pansy Lamb, demonstrates the close friendship which existed between the two families.
