Johann Ulrich Burri (1802-1870) Watercolor on paper Switzerland, 19th Century This veduta was created by the Swiss artist Johann Ulrich Burri (1802-1870). The painting is rich in detail and depicts rural life in the Swiss mountains. Burri’s paintings were influenced both by the classical and romantic canon of forms.
