pencil on paper, signed and inscribed by the artist, matted and framed under glass. SS 7.5 x 10.25 in.; DOA 11 x 14 in. Robert E. Tapp built his house in 1911 at 1920 Princess Street near downtown Wilmington. Born in England, Tapp was a bookkeeper for Clayton Giles & Son and his private papers are housed at UNCW Archives and Special Collections. Mrs. Tolar bought and renovated the house, living there from 1982 until 1994. The home is featured in several movies, including the beloved Blue Velvet and Sleeping with the Enemy.
