A beautiful pastel drawing by Henri-Alphonse Barnoin of the Seine river and Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Dated to 1923, this artwork shows the magnificent color contrasts of post-Impressionist technique and one of the most popular scenes in Paris. Barnoin studied with Charles Emile Dameron and Luc-Olivier Merson. He won an Honorable Mention in the Paris Salon of 1909, a Silver Medal at the Paris Salon in 1921 and the Gold Medal at the 1935 Paris Salon. Best known for his detailed street scenes and evocative marine subjects, he spent a great deal of time in the small coastal towns of Brittany. ***Frame sold separately***
