Between the years 1896 and 1903 he studied art in the cities of Munich, Berlin and Paris. He spent the years 1907-08 in Jerusalem. Markowicz’s Jewish scenes and character-studies display a strong originality with influences of Symbolism, along with elements of Expressionism. Cracow, c. 1930.
