A beautiful pastel drawing by Henri Alphonse Barnoin of the Siene river and Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. Dated to 1923, this artwork shows the magnificent color contrasts of Impressionist technique and one of the most popular scenes in Paris. Barnoin studied with Charles Emile Dameron and Luc-Olivier Merson. He won an Honorable Mention in the Paris Salon of 1909, a Silver Medal at the Paris Salon in 1921 and the Gold Medal at the 1935 Paris Salon. Best known for his detailed street scenes and evocative marine subjects, he spent a great deal of time in the small coastal towns of Brittany. ***Frame sold separately***
