Pastel on blue coloured paper Sheet c.29 x 43 cm. (11 1/2 x 17 in) Unframed Together with two sheets of studies of lions and lionesses by William Strutt (1825-1915), pencil, one with touches of wash and inscribed from nature - the [?] of this lion were on the ground, as [?] lower left, 14.5 x 23 cm. (5 3/4 x 9 in), the other 13.5 x 15 cm. (5 1/4 x 5 7/8 in) and with another sheet by William Woodhouse (1857-1937), with head studies of a lion and lionesses (recto), and studies of recumbent lions (verso), pencil on wove paper, initialled W.W . and numbered 66 upper right verso, s heet c.24.5 x 17.5 cm.
