Signed and dated 'DIX 1922' lower right. Lorenz dates this drawing to the early 1920s, stylistically a period of "smooth transition" toward a New Objectivist nude. "The model's become younger. They generally represent a highly feminine, sensuously beautiful ideal highly suited to the New Objectivist style of drawing."
