DESCRIPTION: Igor Galanin (Russian, 1937- ). Charcoal self portrait in hat on blue cotton laid paper with deckle edge. Signed in charcoal at lower right "Igor Galanin 75.". Watermark on paper "Strathmore Charcoal 100% cotton fiber U.S.A.". Born in 1937, in Moscow, Russia, Galanin lived in Russia and Italy. He emigrated to the United States in 1972 and became a citizen in 1983. MEASUREMENTS: 25-3/8" x 19". CONDITION: Two indents in paper under wrist. Small brown dot 1-1/2" under the "G" in "Igor".
