Brush and India ink on light grey machine-made laid paper 37 x 47.2 cm. Monogrammed 'HMP' lower right. - Edges with few small tears, partly closed. Margins slightly browned as well as with slight creases and small stains. This work is registered with the archive of the Max Pechstein copyright association. We would like to thank Alexander Pechstein for his confirmation. Provenance Formerly private collection, Palatinate, since then in family possession Possibly a motif from Flanders. Pechstein was sent to the Western front in May 1916 where he did his military service as a cartographer.
