ADRIAEN VAN OSTADE, A GROUP OF PEASANTS DRINKING AND SMOKING A GROUP OF PEASANTS DRINKING AND SMOKING Backed to the edges. Slightly yellowed. Dr. Bernhard Schnackenburg has confirmed the study as an early, previously unknown work of Adriaen van Ostade. He compares it to the painting dated ca. 1636-1638 which forms cat. nr. 11-24, plate 7-13 of his monograph.
