Mary Cassatt MOTHER'S KISS (B. 149; MATHEWS/SHAPIRO 11) Drypoint, circa 1890-91, on laid Japan, Mathews/Shapiro's first state of five, pale matstain, some printer's ink, minor soiling, printer's and handling creases (including a nearly horizontal printer's crease extending through the image near center), some creasing at bottom right sheet corner, otherwise in good condition, with full margins, framed. 13 3/4 x 9 inches; 349 x 229 mm. Sheet 14 5/8 x 10 15/16 inches; 371 x 278 mm. Provenance: The artist Ambroise Vollard Henri M. Petiet Marc Rosen Fine Art private collection, Washington, D.C.
