Bust of Pope Pius XI Marble, signed, slightly damaged at the bottom, around 1926 89 x 50 x 32 cm, weight: approx. 150-200 kg Ernesto Durig worked as a sculptor. However, he became known primarily as a forger of Rodin drawings. The German Federal Archives contains a photograph, Image 102-08029, showing the artist sculpting a bust of the Pope.
