Monumental single sculpture carved from a single stag antler. Fully three-dimensional carving depicting a dramatic hunting scene: a fleeing stag is pursued and brought to bay by several attacking wolves. The setting is a misty night sky with moonlight. Finely modeled animal bodies display taut musculature, precisely worked fur textures and dynamic movement within an open composition. The openworked antler structure forms a natural rock formation and, together with the subtle coloration, lends the scene strong spatial depth. Mounted on solid, untreated root wood. Contemporary hunting and animal sculpture in flawless condition. Created ca. 2020, signed lower right: “Hani”, dimensions: 20 x 55 x 33 cm. Provenance: directly from the artist’s studio.
