작품 상세

Sculpture carved from a single, solid stag antler depicting a lively scene with two Parson Russell Terriers in different states of movement and hunting postures, complemented by a climbing stone marten positioned above. The composition strikingly addresses temperament, hunting instinct, alertness and instinctive behavior of the respective animals. Finely worked heads and differentiated fur textures lend the depiction impressive naturalism, resulting in strong expressiveness and dynamic presence. The vertically rising antler form functions as a natural tree structure. Mounted on a solid hardwood tree-slice base with natural bark edge. Contemporary hunting and animal sculpture in flawless condition. Created ca. 2020, dimensions: 12 x 29 x 29 cm. Provenance: directly from the artist’s studio.
