작품 상세

Two Alaska Native crafted walrus tusk objects. Includes a cribbage board of King Island origins, with the tip of the tusk carved into a figural salmon that appears to be actively eating the rest of the tusk; the body is decorated with scrimshaw, including an image of a polar bear. Also included is a highly mineralized carved totemic tusk figure depicting a seal, bowhead whale, and walrus; natural hairline fissures as photographed. The cribbage board measures approximately 1" x 13" in total length.
