Davidee Itulu (Kimmirut, Nunavut, 1926-2006) "Eider", stone carving, 1982. Signed and dated on bottom. Davidee Itulu was born in Tujjaat, near Cape Dorset, Nunavut. He moved to Kimmirut in the 1950s. His work often depicts animals native to the Arctic region and is included in the collections such as the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of History, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
