A BRONZE PLAQUETTE OF ORPHEUS REDEEMING EURYDICE, AFTER GALEAZZO MONDELLA, KNOWN AS MODERNO (1467-1528) circular, showing Orpheus standing before the gates of Hades holding his viol with Eurydice to the right, being led forwards by a winged demon, pierced 10.5cm diameter This medallion forms one of a series of four reliefs showing the life of Orpheus.
