Bronze and marble. A lion and lioness crouching on a stylised rock pedestal, mounted on a green marble plinth. The lioness observing a snake creeping towards her, while the lion gazes into the distance. The back inscribed "CH. Maillard" and dated "1925". A foundry stamp also on the back. Dimensions 28 x 30.5 x 22.5 cm. Minimal signs of age. The bronze slightly abraded. Beautiful patina. Condition: II +
