Tomek Kawiak, Jeans' pocket with the painter's brushes Patinated bronze, painted wood, cord, EA, 38,5 x 20 x 4 cm. Tomasz Kawiak (known as Tomek, born in Poland). Polish visual artist, painter and sculptor. He is the author of many artistic gestures: troc-art exchanges, brickwork of the world, metric system and shrinkage, circumstantial drawings... In 1970 he directed "The Pain of Tomek", the first ecological and social action in communist Poland. Creator-inventor of the "clothing sculptures" using the "jeans" and the enlargements of the "pockets", made of patinated bronze and marble, representing symbols of our time.
