- RIETVELD, Gerrit (Dutch 1888 - 1964) & Jan van GRUNSVEN (Dutch 1926 - 2002). Architectural model of four houses, c. 1960. Board, glass, paper, cardboard and celluloid construction attached on paper covered glass plate, scale model of houses - very probably - designed by Gerrit Rietveld and executed under the direction of Jan van Grunsven. One of the houses is furnished with a couch, table and lounge chairs and a kitchen (ground floor) and beds and closets (first floor) and has a removable roof and first floor allowing to see the interiors. The houses are connected by a shed with four entrances, each for one house. All the windows are made of glass with painted window frames, the upper floors have balconies with celluloid fences. One without roof and showing the autograph mention 'Berging', as well as a toilet seat in a small separate room. The green paper on the glass base is sl. damaged (along the edges), one small strip of cardboard is sl. loosening (upper floor furnished house), one balcony fence is loosening, one invisible construction part of the reverse of the removable roof is missing, else complete and in the original condition.
