Jean Didier Debut (French, 1824-1893). "Lovers Embrace", parcel gilt bronze, signed to base "Jean Debut" and with indistinguishable round foundry mark. A figural sculpture depicting a classical male and female, the male nude and the female in a flowing gilded drape, in a sideways embrace with arms stretched upward and around each other as they peer into each other's eyes, overall to a round graduated pedestal. Overall approximate height 11", width 6", depth 5".
