WIFREDO LAM (Cuban, 1902-1982) Pez, 1962 Silver (800/1000) Fonderia Mariani Italy Mark on verso Provenance Dr. Pinneli, in Italy, was granted the right to cast an edition of 20 silver sculptures of the 1962 Pez. However only one was cast in silver. Other editions exist in bronze, patinated bronze and silver plated. This is the only sample of the silver edition. Carlos Franqui, the renown Cuban art critic, acquired it from Dr. Pinneli Current owner acquired it from Carlos Franqui. Photo-certificate of authenticity from 2011, signed by Madame Lou Laurin Lam.
