A Continental painted terracotta group of a Bacchante with a goat, possibly by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, circa 1875, the maid portrayed as nude but for drapery to her breasts and midriff, seated on a rocky outcrop, the goat standing to her right and held by reins around the horns, on an oval base with tied reeding to the integrally modelled socle, 54cm high
