BRONZE SCULPTURE - 'Grenadier de la Garde ImpΘriale' by Luca Madrassi (Italian, 1848-1919), signed on integral plinth, depicting an officer of the Grand Armee of Napoleon, gesturing with his left hand, his drawn sabre resting against his right leg, the detritus of battle underfoot, title plate on front indicates this won a medal at the Salon, set on original black marble base, the bronze alone is 34 1/4" tall roughly 18" x 17", very good condition, buttery patina, sword blade is distorted.
