Jay Strongwater (American). A pair of ornately decorated and designed covered lidded urn vases. Lustrous green bodies with golden highlights. Two large shield forms to either side with relief designs of Chinese dragons and a pair of birds, which bring good tidings to the virtuous in Chinese myth. Accented with multicolored hand-set Swarovski crystals throughout. Gilded enamel lid covers with pointed finials. Hexagonal form bases with Chinese openwork designs. Oval Jay Strongwater medallion to underside. Good overall condition, normal wear, loss to one finial. Measures approximately 6 1in. x 2 1/4 in. (each).
