China, dated 1309. 144 x 57 cm. Ink and colours on silk. Hanging scroll, brocade mounting. Date and signature are written on the painting along the left edge: Painted by Ziang on the first day of the first month in the second year of the Zhida era (1309).Calligraphy signed by Yu Ji and other scholars, with dedications and seals; on the top of the mounting with a dedication to Ming dynasty scholar Wang Xian, dated 1429.
