Jack Kirby and Joe Simon - Green Hornet Fights Crime #37, page 2 Original Art (Harvey, 1947). Joe Simon and Jack Kirby were great at creating colorful urban characters, much in the manner of writer Damon Runyon. On this page they portray a high-brow University professor slumming in the low-brow boxing game -- it's the classic clash of "brains over brawn," with Kid Adonis as the game piece. The image area is 12.5 x 18". There is a moderate amount of white-out used for art corrections in panels three and four; otherwise the art is in Very Good condition. This is a droll example of the Simon & Kirby talent for humor.
