A MASSIVE BRITANNIA SILVER TANKARD BY WILLIAM COMYNS, RELATING TO TRINITY COLLEGE the George V period antique early 20th century silver tankard in the 18th century style, with hinged gadrooned cover with floral patera to the top and scroll handle, the body with gadrooned base over circular foot, the centre with a cartouche engraved with the heraldic crest for Trinity College Cambridge, with inscription around the body 'W.W. Rouse Ball Coll S.S. Trin...' hallmarked with Brittania mark and date letter for 1913, maker's mark for William Comyns, 1910g (61.40 oz. t.) 24cm high x 28cm wide Good condition.
