A CHINESE BRONZE 'GU' VASE 19th CENTURY H: 28 cm In an archaic bronze gu form, the central bulb gently swollen, supported on a splayed foot, with a long neck flaring to a trumpet mouth. The Gu is decorated in high relief with a Shang Dynasty (c. 1600 - 1046 BC) taotie-mask motif.
