A GUAN-STYLE CELADON GLAZED BRUSH WASHER 18TH CENTURY D: 17.5cm; H:6 cm With rounded sides supported on a ring foot, this brush washer is thickly covered with a crackled greyish-green celadon glaze in imitation of classic Song Guan ware. The washer is thick walled with an upright rim and compressed globular body, raised on a short foot ring, covered with an opaque grayish-green glaze displaying a wide web of black and faint russet crackle lines applied to all surfaces apart from the narrow foot pad.
