JIA YOUFU (B. 1942) Herding Ducks Hanging scroll, ink on paper 18 1/8 x 14 3/8 in. (46 x 36.5 cm.) Entitled, inscribed and signed, with one seal of the artist This collection began with the establishment of the L & F Art Gallery in Hong Kong in the early 1980s. This establishment sold the paintings of many contemporary artists of the day and provided the gallery owners with opportunities to meet many of them. At the end of the decade, the gallery was closed and the owner of these paintings moved to the United States. As in classical times, he enjoyed his collection of paintings and calligraphy in his leisure time away from his medical career. ,
